Why It Matters

This road connection is a critical piece of infrastructure that will facilitate the development of the premiere waterfront park in Columbia as well as provide access to developments that will activate the park.

The entire City will benefit from the improved access to the riverfront, and improved bicycle and pedestrian connectivity along the riverfront

Estimated Project Cost: $20,600,000

Funding Sources: $16 million is funded by the State of South Carolina as well as an additional $4.6 million coming from the Richland County Transportation Penny program
