Rosewood Water
The Rosewood Water Infrastructure Project is replacing failing water mains to improve water quality, pressure, and fire protection in the neighborhood and surrounding areas. Phase 1, which included about 40,000 LF of new mains, is complete and has improved service for over 700 customers. Phases 2 and 3 will each replace about 35,000 LF of mains with related service renewals and road repairs, scheduled for completion in 2027 and 2029, respectively.
Phase 1 description: PHASE 1 COMPLETE. The purpose of the project was to replace the failing water infrastructure and provide the Rosewood neighborhood and surrounding area with improved water quality. The project scope included construction of approximately 40,000 LF of water main, renewing services, replacing fire hydrants, and abandoning portions of the existing system. This phase of the project is now complete and has improved service for 700 customers.
Phase 2 description: The project will include constructing approximately 35,000 LF of water main, renewing services, abandoning portions of the existing system, and road repair to address water quality and low pressure issues in Rosewood and the surrounding areas. Construction is expected to be complete by Fall of 2027.
Phase 3 description: The project will include constructing approximately 35,000 LF of water main, renewing services, abandoning portions of the existing system, and road repair to address water quality and low pressure issues in Rosewood and the surrounding areas. Construction is expected to be complete by Fall of 2029.

Project Significance
Who It Benefits
The project includes an upgrade of a 12” water main which also conveys water to surrounding neighborhoods. The project will improve the overall health of our water system in this district and significantly relieve the maintenance burden of repetitive work orders to fix this aging water distribution infrastructure.
